First a couple of important things about me to get out of the way. I’m a huge nerd that loves board games, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and everything in between. I also like to pretend I’m a canoeist and hiker. I base this fantasy on the idea that I would be doing more of those things if I wasn’t a father of four (yikes… I know). However, my beautiful wife of 17 years supports me by entertaining these fantasies.
Now the serious stuff. I am a Licensed Counselling Therapist Candidate (LCT-C) with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and have over 17 years of experience supporting youth and adults across a range of settings.
I provide counselling services to individuals (11+), couples, and families, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and the Gottman Method for couples. I work with clients navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions and more.
My approach is strengths-based and client-centered. I strive to offer a safe, compassionate space where individuals can reflect, reset, and move forward in alignment with their values and goals. As part of the team at Thriving Minds Psychology, I am committed to walking alongside clients in their journey toward growth and healing.
